At the center of the Itaewon intersection—one of the busiest spots in the area due to its four-way pedestrian crossings and heavy foot and vehicle traffic—
you’ll find two of the most prominent billboard formats:

These signature DOOH media placements are known for effectively delivering bold brand messages right in the heart of Itaewon.

Synchronized Media Campaign: Itaewon Panorama & Wallscape (Artwall)
When OHBROWN visited the site, sausage brand Johnsonville was running a playful outdoor OOH campaign using both the Art Wall and the two DOOH billboard formats simultaneously in a synchronized campaign.
On the left screen, an image of Choo Sung-hoon holding a piece of ham and taking a deep breath was displayed.
On the right, a dynamic video played—seemingly reacting to the aroma— creating a cohesive, story-driven execution through synchronized OOH media.

Next to the Itaewon wallscape ad, a timed device released bursts of smoke every hour—perfectly syncing with the visual of Choo Sung-hoon, as if he were exhaling deeply, entranced by the smell of ham.
It was a small detail, but it made the entire OOH campaign feel more alive and memorable.
As I started taking photos, a group of foreigners nearby pulled out their phones and began laughing and filming too.

BARREL Outdoor Advertising Along Itaewon Street
The 12 Itaewon Media Block screens, installed along the key route from Noksapyeong Station to Hangangjin Station, are DOOH placements optimized for eye-level visibility.
They naturally catch the attention of both pedestrians and drivers, and thanks to their linear arrangement along the path, they offer excellent ad dwell time and high-frequency exposure—making them highly effective for outdoor OOH campaigns.

This OOH media format is especially popular among F&B and sports brands during the summer season.
Recently, OHBROWN partnered with Polo Ralph Lauren to launch a successful Outdoor Advertising campaign using this platform.

Nine One Hannam is a serene, architecturally striking mixed-use complex. It also hosted the Tsutaya Bookstore exhibition we mentioned earlier.
But what truly stands out here is the large-format LED OOH billboard—undoubtedly the focal point of the space.
Wrapping around two walls, the horizontal LED DOOH screen at Nine One Hannam functions like a massive cinematic display, transforming the entire walkway into an immersive brand showcase.
